Try this test of empathy
Take your strongest subject or topic and try teaching it to someone who’s extremely weak in it.
If you can do this well and your student learns the subject you are a master 🙇♂️ 🙇♂️
This requires you to relearn the subject without using your strengths. Rather you need to understand your student’s weaknesses and teach accordingly.
If not then this is also a good exercise to learn empathy. Keep at it till you can learn enough about your student to teach them effectively. You will learn to become empathetic in the process.
