How to measure how open you are to new ideas which are not your own ?

The number of new or interesting ideas that people share with you is a sign of how receptive the world thinks you are to new ideas. It’s your public perception. If you are not, then word gets around. People stop bothering.
On the flip side, if distant ( depending on degrees of separation ) people have started reaching out to you, you are more open and word has travelled.
